Aric and Jennifer Schildmeier
(Owners)
Aric and Jennifer purchased Foothills Early Learning Center in September 2017. Aric is a recent retiree from the US Navy after 21 years of active service. During Aric's time in the military, the Schildmeier's lived all over the country and even abroad. After Aric's military retirement, the Schildmeiers decided to settle down here in Seneca, which is where Jennifer was raised.
Jennifer graduated from Columbia College in 2005. She then went on to work for a private agency contracted by the Department of Children and Family Services. After a relocation, began working for the US Navy, providing direct support to victims of violent crimes. After ten years working in social services, Jennifer felt that it was time for a change. She went back to school and received a Master’s Degree in Education from Arizona State University and began teaching kindergarten in North Carolina.
In 2017, the Schildmeiers had the opportunity to purchase a child development center and, with God’s help, their dream of owning a business that would allow them to serve and support children and families in their community came to fruition. Both Jennifer and Aric have a deep love for children and value early education as it is the foundation to a lifetime of learning.
Aric and Jennifer both work full time, with children in school and active in sports. When not on the go, the Schildmeiers love getting together with friends and family over dinner and board games. Aric and Jennifer have a strong faith and are active in their local church. Jennifer adds, "As a family, we care about others and look for opportunities to be of service to those in need."
